General: This notice is provided pursuant to Public Law 93-579, Privacy Act of 1974, 5 USC Section 552a, for employees supplying information as data inputs to the Office of Human Resources (OHR)/Workforce Relations Division (WRD)Employee Benefits Information System (EBIS).

Principal Purposes: EBIS is an enterprise web application designed to provide employees covered under the Civil Service and Federal Employees Retirement Systems (CSRS and FERS) access to personal and general benefits and retirement information. With EBIS, employees can view a personal statement of benefits, use calculators to perform various “what-if” retirement scenarios, have access to online pre-retirement seminars, financial planning resources, and a benefits overview for new hires.
Routine Uses: HHS Personnel and Payroll information used by the EBIS system allows employees access to their benefits and retirement data for planning purposes. Services are provided through a third-party administrator, Government, Retirement and Benefits, Inc. (GRB).
Disclosure: Use of this financial and retirement planning tool is voluntary. Employees are not required to use the system, however, it is beneficial for financial and retirement planning purposes.
